Cancelled Trains List

Find Trains

A cancelled train means that the scheduled train service will not run at all. This can happen due to various reasons, such as technical issues, weather conditions, maintenance work, staff shortages, or other operational problems. When a train is cancelled, passengers are usually advised to seek alternative travel arrangements and will get a full refund.

There could be several reasons for the cancellation of a train; some of them may be:

  1. Bad weather (heavy rainfall, fog).
  2. Non-availability of train tracks due to unscheduled maintenance.
  3. Accident in route, and the damaged coaches are yet to be removed from the track.
  4. Signal failure.
  5. Delay in the running of the pairing train.
  6. Natural calamities like floods, hurricanes, landslides, etc.

In the case of e-tickets, the full amount will be refunded without any deduction, and you don't need to file a TRD. For counter tickets or I-tickets, you need to cancel the ticket up to 72 hours after the scheduled departure of the train at any nearby PRS counter.
